Love Story

Yesterday, I was watching some videos and found one that showed you how to do the hairstyle from Taylor Swifts Love Story . I thought it would great for my coming up violin recital. I began to think about it and realized that it would be better to try and do it right before I did it and couldn't redo it, so I asked my sister if I could use her hair and she agreed because she loves Taylor Swift :) It's actually a simple hair style, just rows and rows of pin curls. Here is the link if you want to go watch the tutorial.

Wanted:Ideas

I need some ideas, my mom and I are going to repurpose some of her t-shirts by appliqueing some different designs onto them but we can't think of many things to do. We have a flower, her initials and number of kids, an apple, and just using graphic fabric. What shapes or designs do you think we should do?

Birthday Presents

Today, I will be showing you another birthday present, this time for a friend of mine who is about to turn 16. I was looking through Dorm Decor and found this sleep mask. They told you to sew around the edges and then stuff it with fiber fill but I wanted it to look a lot thicker than that so I used two layers of batting in between the pattern layers and quilted her initials into it to hold the "sandwich" together. Then I bound the edges with some fabric I had in my stash, I also added and elastic strap to the back. I plan on appliqueing her first initial onto a pillow to make a cute set.

How do you modify crafts you find in books?

Generation T: Part 2

Today, I you're looking at a superhero costume that I made for a friend of ours who is having a birthday tomorrow. The project is from Generation T;) It was sooo easy and you could make it no sew if you didn't personalize it. You have my sister to thank for these pictures, I could have had way more animated poses if someone else had posed but...

Pictures of My T-shirt Creations

Today I will be showing you some of my t-shirt creations. First, is my overnight/shopping bag. I guess you could make it as a purse if you used a small t-shirt, but it wouldn't have any handy little pockets unless you felt like working a little more on it...anywho here it is, the bag. My oversize t-shirt went from

Cute huh?

I love it. This is my second time using it in one week, and I will definitely be using it way more in the future!

And I made a scarf. I cut loops out of shirt sleeves and made this scarf. The book calls it a necklace but its a scarf. I promise. The best thing about this scarf is that you can wear it in any weather cold or no, its pretty tight.

I also redid a shirt. It looks really cool, but it's kind of hard to tell you what it looks like and it's in the laundry right now so you might get to see it later.

What is your all time favorite craft book? Another one I like right now is Dorm Decor, it's really cool!

I will try to post some pictures later. What are your favorite things to remake?
