Shirt: Borrowed from a friend Jeans: Handmedown Shoes: I wore Gap sandals via Goodwill all day Necklace:Yard Sale Flower:homeade Belt:gifted

Yep, that was an amazingly boring photo site but hey, I had five minutes before I had to go somewhere so that was the best I could do. Plus the amazing lighting has to count for somthing:) We had a great time yesterday at my friends birthday, has anyone else seen Soul Surfer? Thats what we went to see and it was amazing! Today we had homeschooler testing, which I didn't have to do but I was there because...I got a callback for a living history part at the 150th Civil War event and I got the part!!!! Winning!

On Thursday I went to Goodwill and on Friday we went garage sale shopping, The stuff on the left chair is for repurposing, the stuff in the middle are my shoes, a headband and a makeup brush set I got, on the right are the things I am going to wear as is, listen up y'all I got a (fake) leather jacket for $1!!

Beautiful isn't it, the view I mean:) On top of Pinnicle Mnt.

So that's pretty much what my weekend has looked like so far. Last night I had my Sunday School party and I ate until I could barely walk!!! have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Hey guys, today we have our first ever Feature Friday and today I am featuring Kathrine from Thrifted Things
What made you start blogging?

My cousin suggested that I start one, so I took her advice and here I am :)

What is your alltime favorite blog?

Oh gosh, this is such a hard question! But I'll probably have to with Kristine. Or Polly. She's honestly just the cutest person on earth. I wish we could meet and be best friends.

-What is your favorite piece of clothing?

Hm, probably the skirt I just made! I'm in love with it right now.

What is your hair/makeup routine in the morning?

I get up, shower, put gel in my hair and dry it. You can see the tutorial here-->(http://thriftedthings.blogspot.com/2011/01/i-whip-my-hair-back-and-forth.html) Then for makeup it's mascara, eye shadow, eye liner, and a wee bit of foundation. I don't use a lot of make up. Just enough so I don't look like I just rolled out of bed.

Where do get your outfit inspiration?

Mostly from blogs and fashion magazines. My mom works for an airline and she brings home the ones people leave on airplanes. We have an endless supply of them at my house.

Share one totally random fact about yourself.

My favorite animal is a moose. I think they're soooo cute! I want a necklace of one really badly :)

Y'all really should go stalk her blog for a few hours, she had some ADORABLE outfits!

Dress(worn as a skirt): Old Navy (handmedown) Shirt: thrifted Sweater:thrifted Necklace:I made it Flower: I made it
I really liked this outfit! One of my friends gave me this dress and I love its versatility. Wow I'm trying to think of something to tell y'all about my life and I can think of nothing. Oh wait, yeah about the play, I didn't get a part in Julius Caesar (there was only ONE female part!) but I did get called back for a living history part for the same event, fingers crossed! It's going to be a busy, food filled weekend, I'm trying to decide whether to go to a soccer game tonight, I don't really feel like it though. On Friday night I have a Sunday School party where we're doing make-your-own calzones and candy sundaes, YUM! Saturday I am either going to a soccer tournament or going to hike Pinnacle Mtn. Then on Sunday I am going out to eat and to a movie and then a frozen yogurt shop for a friends birthday so lots of yummy food all weekend! Well lookie there I got like a whole paragraph for y'all to read:)

Hugs,

Same Song Second Verse

Shirt:MileyMax (thrifted) Jeans:Levi's (handimedown) Necklace:My cousin made it Belt: ? (gifted) Shoes:Rue21 (handmedow) Flower: Handmade (copied from Candie's flower)
Yeah,  I'm wearing the same shirt as I did yesterday so I'm still a lumberjack:) I tend to do that a lot, wear a shirt on Sunday and then wear it again on Monday if it's not dirty. I wore jeans, a different belt and a different necklace so its totally different, right?

Please ignore all the weird facial expressions and blurry feet. Last week I left my camera by the computer and now we can't find it. Usually when I take pictures I have this amazing setting where I can put it on self timer and then it will take 1-10 shots at a time so I just put it on 10 seconds and run over and it will take 10 pictures. I repeat this about four times and I usually get about 4-10 good pictures out of the bunch, some are weird looking or blurry. Well right now when I don't have MY camera I have to use my daddy's and his self timer only takes one at a time so when I can't get a sib to help me out I don't get many good pictures.

Get excited because this Friday there will be our first ever feature Friday! And I have two different post swaps sometime this month and in May most likely I will be writing a guest post for Natalia who is moving to Paris!! Wow! I also wanted to thank everyone for their sweet comments, they are so encouraging!

Thanks for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You look...lumberjacky?!?

I loved this outfit a ton, but it was kinda a mixed theme, I mean maxi dress and plaid flannal? My brother said that I looked lumberjacky when we left for church. And speaking of leaving, it was sooo pretty when we left for church, warmish but with a cool breeze. After potluch I wa outside  swinging one of the little girls at church and chatting with one of my little buddies and when you were in the shade, it was the most perfectist weather ever!

So when I tried out for this play, I didn't realize there were only two female parts, yikes!

My "craft high" results:):)

I've wanted one of these for so long and finally made one!!!

My Desk: Hehehe lets see what we have here, looks like bobby pins and earrings mixed in with fake flowers and clothing remakes and just a dash of glue.

I've had this shirt in my "remake me please" pile and just said "I'll wear it when I get a black skirt" well before that happy day happily happened (hehe) I cut up one of the sleeves to make burnt flower so I had to make a tank top out of it.

I saw some braided yarn headbands at Violet Bella's World (sidebar) and loved them!

These were a tutorial from Love Ramsey (sidebar) just go a stalk her archives and you can find the tutorial:)
T
Bad picture but basically you wrap fabric around a ponytail holder and you have a cute bracelet.

So that's what I've been doing for the past few days. Wish me luck, I just went and auditioned for a abridged production of Julius Caeser to celebrate the Tricentennial of the Civil War and I really hope I get a part!

I've been gone for so long..

Wow its been awhile! Sorry for being such a bad blogger! A lot of stuff happened while I was on my bloggy vacation.

I had the funnest time at a spring break camping trip. The first night, we slept by the fire till around 5am and then it started raining and we all ran to a car with our sleeping bags and made a community "bed", well, I was next to a kiddo who, turns out had thrown up earlier! I was so scared I would get sick while we were still on the trip! But I didn't get sick till Monday:) The second night it started raining at around 1am and we were stuck in a car with the worst snorer I have ever heard! So I guess you can tell that I didn't get much sleep on this camping trip:)

I have had a wet week I guess, Tuesday night, I went to a soccar game and stayed out there in the pouring rain for nearly three hours! I got to go to Goodwill Clearence Center yesteday and will have to show you my great finds tomorrow.

Do any of you ever get on a "craft high"? I have been on one all week, this week I have been crocheting headbands like a madwoman. experimenting with braided headbands and bracelets, finger knitting bracelets, making a pennent for my room and getting inspired for a Project Restyle!

Thanks for hanging in there with me!
